1 September — We concluded the total and general renovation of the infrastructure of the Holy Spirit Seminary. Since August 2014 we have been doing the maintenance of the: three seminarian’s dormitories, the staff house, the church, the dining hall with kitchen, laundry hall, and at the end, the ancillary staff houses. In this time we also purchased several items of the equipment.
The last and meaningful point of this process was the installation of the new tabernacle in the church.
The maintenance was concluded by the blessing of the tabernacle by the Apostolic Nuncio (3 September).
The Apostolic Nuncio in PNG & SI, Kurian M. Valayunkal, visited our Seminary, celebrating the Eucharist and having a meeting with the staff and seminarians.
9 September — About 200 students from La Sale Technical College in Hohola, came with their teachers to our seminary to have a vocation day. Priests and seminarians prepared and presented the following topics: vocation, spiritual & prayer life, theology of the body, pastoral activities, drugs & alcohol, and love & relationship. After a common lunch, all the La Salle students visited the colleges located in the neighbourhood.
20-21 September — Rector of the seminary Fr. Jacek Tendej CM attended the meeting of the rectors, bishop, and archbishops – members of the Board and Senate for Priestly Formation. The meeting was held in Alexishafen and was dedicated to the presentation and discussion on the new document of the Congregation for the Clergy, The Gift of the Priestly Vocation – Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis (from 8 December 2016).

27 September — The Vincentians working at the Holy Spirit Seminary, Fr. Jacek Tendej CM and Fr. Marcin Wrobel CM, celebrated St. Vincent Day on the 400th anniversary of the birth of the Vincentian Carism. The celebration started with the Eucharist in the seminary chapel and continued with a solemn diner. It was attended by the Holy Spirit Seminary community and by invited priests, brothers, and sisters from neighbouring colleges and from Port Moresby.
29 September — The celebration of St. Michael Archangel, the patron saint of Papua New Guinea. The Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Vinod D’Mello SMM. After this the entire Holy Spirit Community went for the traditional picnic to Gaire Beach.
