25 May — The Catholic Bishops Conference of PNG and Solomon Islands declared 2019 as year of the laity. Our seminarians, with the pastoral director Fr. Peter Silong, are inviting the lay people to be more involved in the life of the seminary during the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist, in the different pastoral activities, and in workshops such as this one organized on 25 May.

31 May — In our seminary the formation month of May was dedicated to the value of wisdom. At the conclusion of this time, the seminarians were rewarded for their participation in this event. The competition was in two categories: memorize the wisdom of the Latin proverbs and write sentences with the local wisdom. Winners: Methodius Maniarah (left) and Julius Meleskit. See local wisdom.
