1-5 February — Annual spiritual retreat at the beginning of the academic year, facilitated by Fr. Rosario Menezes CMM, the parish priest from Morata.(see the introduction to the retreat).

8 February — The opening Mass of the new year of formation presided over by Bishop Rochus Tatamai MSC from Bereina. After the Mass there was an official ceremony to open the new year of formation enriched by Bishop Rolando Santos CM, who shared his reflection on the Eucharist after his participation at the Eucharistic Congress in the Philippines. This year of formation has begun with 43 seminarians.

9 February — The funeral of our beloved neighbour Carmelite sister Eliane Chariot OCD was presided by the Apostolic Nuncio with participation of priests, sisters, seminarians and lay people. Ninety-one years old, Sister Eliane served the Church in Papua New Guinea for 61 years praying for the missions at the beginning on Yule Island and then in the monastery in Bomana.

12 February — From the beginning of the Lent, every Friday we celebrate the Stations of the Cross in the seminary chapel.

21 February — Archbishop Douglas Young from Mount Hagen visited the seminary and celebrated with us the Lenten Sunday Eucharist.

February — All the seminarians are involved in the pastoral activity in one of 7 groups: at the Holy Spirit Chapel, 9 Mile outstation, De la Salle High School, Brown River primary and elementary school and medical patrol. On the picture seminarians are teaching religious education in Brown River school.
