4-12 May - During the first term break the majority of the seminarians went out for a two-week holiday and retreat, and we started the very needed renovation of the main kitchen.

12-15 May - Annual spiritual retreat in the Salesian Emmaus Center in Port Moresby, facilitated by Fr. Victor D’Sa SVD.

24 May - Pentecost is the Holy Spirit Seminary titular feast. The seminarians were preparing for this day for one week. This was really great work. The Eucharist was presided by Fr. Rodrigo Campilan – the Chancellor of Archdiocese of Port Moresby. He was also had the homily with the theme: Trust the Holy Spirit. During the Mass 12 children, prepared with parents and godparents by our seminarians, received the Sacrament of the Baptism. The liturgy was very well prepared and rich with two processions: of the Gospel and the offertory. After Mass, there was a socio-cultural meeting that included the participation of the invited guests. The speakers were: the Rector of the Holy Spirit Seminary, Fr. Jacek Tendej CM; Fr. Ben His; the Lecturer of the Catholic Theological Institute Fr. Modest Eligi OFM Cap.; Ambassador Michael Maue; and others invited visitors. The day was rich in traditional dances and was concluded by the traditional meal (mumu and other deliciousness) called light refreshment.

31 May - Representatives of the seminarians with the rector participated in the Vocation Jamboree of the Archdiocese of Port Moresby in Don Bosco Technological Institute. The theme of the meeting: Consecrated Life: A Call to be Missionaries of Joy. After the presentation of the Religious Congregation and Holy Spirit Seminary, the day was concluded by the Holy Mass presided by His Excellency Abp. Michael Banach, the Apostolic Nuncio in Papua New Guinea & Solomon Islands.
